Job Description

Immediate opportunity exists for individuals with supervisory skills as a Job Coach/Supervisor of adults with disabilities performing janitorial services for our client companies.  Must be able to work evening hours.

The supervisor/job coach is responsible for the day to day operations of the worksite to include the training of employees, maintaining quality, meeting quotas (if applicable), that are set by the customer.  He/She is responsible for the patient direction needed to intervene with employees one-on-one and set a professional example and expectation through their actions, attendance and dress.  This person is an advocate on behalf of all employees under their direct supervision.  The coach must be able to work independently with their employees and have the ability to make immediate decisions should an unexpected situation develop.

 

Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, industrial, or other establishments such as schools, stores, offices, manufacturing facilities, etc. 
  • Requisition or purchase cleaning supplies and equipment and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Issue supplies and equipment to employees.
  • Train employees to efficiently perform job functions as set by customer
  • Meet quotas, deadlines, and quality standards set forth by the customer
  • Provide employees encouragement, moral support, and patient direction
  • Maintain work area in a safe, clean and organized manner
  • Maintain documentation to include employee hours worked, incident and accident reports, level or rate of production, employee progress, etc. 
  • Follow all policies and procedures established by CES and the customer
  • Independently provide one-on-one support for employees as necessary while ensuring the safety of the other employees
  • Provide protective oversight for the employees throughout their work shift
  • Act as a liaison between an employee and the customer as needed
  • Attend staff meetings, agency planning meetings, in-service training sessions and seminars as required.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by CES management

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required.  BS desired.  CPR and First Aid certification required (training will be provided if non-certified)

 

Experience:

3-5 years experience performing and supervising commercial janitorial functions.  Prior experience working with adults with disabilities desired.  Good communication and interaction skills required
