Traditional employment at BCI is referred to as Facility Based Employment. At BCI, we focus on our employees' ABILITIES, not disabilities.
Materials are shipped from various customers to BCI where our production staff manages our workforce of adults with disabilities to complete the assembly operations requested by the customer. BCI adapts many projects to utilize our employees' abilities to allow them to complete the job assignments. Completed products are shipped back to the customer or to a distribution center fulfilling our commitment and strengthening our economy. Our employees proudly see their work in stores where they shop - Wal-Mart, Costco, Sam's Club, Walgreens, and more!
Recognizing that individuals with disabilities may require additional assistance or unique environmental changes that other facilities are not able to accommodate, BCI is appropriately staffed to provide such services ensuring successful employment. One-on-one training is often provided allowing each individual to learn the job they are assigned to as well as support in developmental and social areas.
BCI also recognizes safety is our first priority. BCI employees an on-site Facilities and Safety Manager to manage our plant wide electronic security system, state-of-the-art fire protection system, a climate controlled production environment, and safety practices. BCI also focuses on personal safety such as ergonomic seating and tooling, personal protective equipment, and regular safety drills. BCI will take every step necessary to ensure the safety of our employees.
