Employee Medical Supervisor

The Employee Medical Supervisor is responsible for creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for BCI. This includes designing and implementing safety courses as well as ensuring a supportive environment in the employee break room. 

 

Duties:

  • Coordinate employee check-ins and dismissals

  • Conduct daily attendance for OES employees.

  • Assist employees who need help with vending machines, lunches and seating while teaching independence in these skills.

  • Communicate effectively with all members of the program department and document key instances. 

  • Follow security measures for exterior and interior doors and the circle drive.

  • Make announcements, distribute communications and paychecks. 

  • Complete daily attendance verification with time clocks.

  • Creatively develop events for positive morale in the break room.

  • Conduct safety trainings

  • Teach first aide, AED, blood borne pathogens, CPR and additional trainings to designated staff. 

  • Patiently and appropriately address negative behavioral issues and/or support employee achievements through positive supports. 

  • Demonstrate good judgement and sound decision making on sensitive/confidential situations. 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:
HS diploma/GED required. Ability to effectively supervisor and support people with disabilities. Required licensure/ certification in paramedics or nursing. 

 

Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements will vary based on the specific assignment. Must use fine and gross motor skills.  Ability to push or pull up to 25 pounds of weight.  Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds of dead weight.  Ability to bend, stoop and reach is required.
