

Human Resources Generalist
This role supports the Human Resources department through various activities, focused in talent acquisition, on-boarding, benefit administration and training.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

Full cycle recruitment of open job requisitions, including interviewing and recommendation of candidates

Ensure appropriate and cost effective procurement and use of recruitment venues and media

On-boarding and document tracking, ensuring that proper documentation has been turned in by new hires, such as I-9, W-4, etc.

Report recruitment metrics and Organization chart updates as needed

Benefits
-
Engage in vendor relations with broker(s), contracted benefit advisors, and benefit carriers in order to resolve and prevent disputes and other problems

Answer employee questions regarding benefit plans and/or claim problems
-
Process all benefit enrollments and changes, including life events and terminations
-
Benefit reconciliation with the Finance department
-
Manage fringe benefits as applicable

Assist with open enrollment annually
-
ACA administration including monthly reports and annual 1095s
-
Assist with EEO-1 annual report

Safety & Training
-
Internal injury and worker’s compensation injury reporting in partnership with operational managers

Accident investigations, as needed, in partnership with operational managers
-
Annual OSHA reporting
-
Evaluate and assign new hire training in QT9, as well as track/notify staff and their managers about expired training

Perform routine administrative paperwork, including the maintenance of active and terminated employee files

Process Unemployment claims, Garnishment and Child Support Orders

Verify employment as requested

Make suggestions to improve processes or procedures to help efficiency and save costs

Assist with various Human Resources projects as assigned

Serve as backup to Director of HR

Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Profile
Our ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in HR (or related field) with at least three years of experience. Furthermore, he or she is a team player and has excellent communication skills and a great deal of self-sufficiency in accomplishing his or her duties. Must have a positive attitude and strive to obtain performance goals.
