

Job Coach
Part-Time
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Job Coach is responsible for the day-to-day job training of adult employees in competitive employment positions, maintaining quality, and meeting quotas (if applicable), set by the customer. They are responsible for the guidance and direction needed to intervene with participants one-on-one and set a professional example and expectation through their actions, attendance and dress. The Job Coach must act as an advocate on behalf of all employees under their direct supervision. They must be able to work independently with their participants and have the ability to make decisions necessary to guide their participants to a successful and positive work experience.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A JOB COACH CAN LOOK LIKE:

Assisting the work site personnel in the training and supervision of the participant.

Monitoring the employee's activities and reinforcing the supervisor's directions.

Facilitating the development of relationships between work site personnel and the employees.

Assisting the work site personnel in the resolution of any employee performance issues.

Supporting the employees in achieving their goals as outlined in their plan.

Advising on workplace accommodations if needed for the participant.

Communicating with competitive employment staff regarding progress of employees.

Completing and submitting all applicable forms in a timely manner.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Prior experience working with people with disabilities highly preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Reliable transportation.
