Outside Sales Leader

The duties of the Outside Sales Leader will include designing strategic sales plans and assessing costs + competition. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills. This individual will be responsible for meeting BCI’s annual new-client sales targets and margins. 

Duties:

  • Generate and reach out to leads via networking, cold-calls/emails. Record activity within Salesforce

  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business for the Packaging program

  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects

  • Cultivate lasting relationships with new customers to grow customer loyalty and to understand their business needs + goals. 

  • Assess costs, competition, and supply + demand to identify selling prices

  • Estimate sales volume and profit for all new-client production opportunities

  • Partner with the Operations, Production and Procurement teams to work on all estimates/opportunities

  • Complete all actions required to onboard new clients including credit review, payment terms and vendor systems setups

  • Design and implement strategic plans to reach new-clients sales targets. KPIs are Top Line Sales Revenue, GPM and close-rate.

  • Draft detailed and accurate new-clients sales reports to the Executive Team and to the company’s Board of Directors

  • Utilize Nulogy and Salesforce to maintain accurate records of all estimates/opportunities

  • Establish a sales process, establish SOPs and document training

  • Understand and stay up to date on manufacturing + packaging landscapes and industry trends

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant field is preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years’ combined experience in similar roles

  • In-depth knowledge of sales/marketing techniques and best practices

  • Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with strong skills in Excel

  • Salesforce system knowledge/experience preferred

  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, written and verbal skills
