Recruiter

A full-time position reporting to a Human Resources Manager, the Recruiter will source and assist in the selection and on-boarding of candidates for both staff positions and placement in employment programs for adults with disabilities. 

Duties

  • Provide full cycle recruitment services to various business units including Community Employment Services, Organizational Employment Services, Operations, Employment Support Staff, and Administrative Staff

  • Post and manage job advertisements

  • Participate in job fairs and community events

  • Represent BCI’s growing employment brand

  • Make presentations to the public about employment opportunities at BCI

  • Identify efficient and cost-effective sourcing strategies that align with staffing and programmatic needs

  • Seek both passive and active candidates via a variety of methods

  • Interview and screen job applicants and candidates

  • Partner with Hiring Managers to ensure individualized recruitment strategies that support operational and/or programmatic needs

  • Negotiate job offers 

  • Conduct new employee orientation

  • Facilitate the new hire process 

  • Schedule interviews

  • Track applicant information and status

  • Generate and contribute to various recruitment metrics

  • Administer assessments

  • Advise Hiring Managers on candidate fit

  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business management, vocational rehabilitation, psychology, social work or related field

  • At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in recruitment and/or human resources staffing

  • Experience working with adults with disabilities

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • A passion for BCI’s social mission

  • Self-starter, self-motivator, and able to work with limited oversight

  • Good communication and networking skills

  • Effective writing and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced to intermediate computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
