Production Supervisor

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising production employees in a manufacturing and assembly/packaging environment.  This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedure and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Supervisor may be responsible for supervising multiple production lines while achieving optimal performance of their assigned tasks; helping to solve problems; meeting quality and production standards and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.

 

 

Duties:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals. 

  • Assist with line set ups that best accommodates each employee based on standard line lay out while maintaining production efficiencies.

  • Assist in meeting quality standards set forth by the Bill of Material (BOM) Specifications administered by Quality Control Personnel.

  • Take attendance on the line at the start of the shift and after breaks and lunches.

  • Enter labor, production and quality data.

  • Train, coach, encourage and motivate employees and workers to efficiently perform their assigned tasks.

  • Provide protective oversight of employees through encouragement, moral support and patient direction.

  • Report any employee behaviors, incidents and/or accidents to Team Manager.

  • Document employee activities as required by Program Department.

  • Maintain work area in a safe, clean and organized manner.

  • Act on behalf of the Team Manager when directed or in his/her absence.

  • To comply with all SQF procedures and policies, and is responsible to report food safety problems.

  • Follow all policies and procedures established by Company.

  • Other related duties as directed by management.

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.  Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills required. 

 

Experience:

Prior experience working with people with disabilities or related experience desired.  Good communication verbal and written skills required.  Attention to detail required.
