Rothermich Named Director of Development

Don Rothermich has been named Director of Development for BCI (Boone Center Inc.), a St. Charles-based contract packaging business which has employed adults living with disabilities for over 50 years.

Rothermich joining BCI was a product of the packing facility adding several new positions. In response to an increasing demand for services and assistance, Rothermich will direct BCI’s strategic planning, development, and execution of community support initiatives as well as special events.

As a St. Charles native, Rothermich’s extensive knowledge in community-focused initiatives spans over 15 years. From 2008 to 2011, Rothermich served as a Community Manager – Health Initiatives for the American Cancer Society after being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2005. Since then, he has traveled for St. Charles City’s Convention and Visitors Bureau as the Corporate Sales Manager, and has been an active member of the St. Charles Jaycees since 2003. Most recently, Rothermich was the Interim Director of Communication and Community Relations Liaison for the City of St. Charles.

“Don has a phenomenal background in community building and strategic planning,” says Tony Spielberg, Chief Executive Director of BCI. “His keen insights and outstanding leadership in several diverse roles impressed not only me but our board members. With his knowledge of nonprofit and civic partnerships, we are pleased to have Don join our team.”

Rothermich holds a Bachelor’s degree in business and a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University.
