Spielberg Named MRA 2018 Administrator of the Year

Tony Spielberg, CEO of BCI, was named Administrator of the Year on Sunday, May 20, by the Missouri Rehabilitation Association (MRA).

MRA is a member organization that promotes ethical and state of the art practice in rehabilitation with the goal of the personal and economic independence of persons with disabilities.

The Administrator of the Year award recognizes an administrator who had provided outstanding service toward meeting the needs of their staff and the Rehabilitation community. Spielberg not only provides empowerment to the employees of BCI by providing a positive, uplifting work environment with secure, productive work, but he also empowers his team of staff by providing opportunities to grow into leadership positions that can be poured right back into the company and mission that they all believe in so much.

“Tony makes each person who works at BCI feel valued and part of the team no matter what position they hold,” said Jessica Davis, BCI Community Employment Specialist. “Everyone is treated with dignity and respect.”

In addition to his dedication to the dual-mission of BCI, which focuses on both business and social objectives, Spielberg makes it a point to build personal connections with the BCI employees and work alongside them on the production floor every week.

“Tony really listens to us and hears what we have to say. You can tell that he really cares,” shared Abby and Donna, two long-time employees at BCI. “He’s just a good-hearted person and makes everyone around him feel happy.”

Spielberg is dedicated to applying his knowledgeable business background to continue the growth and fulfillment of employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and he has a whole team standing with him, ready to make it happen.
