BCI Conference Room Available for Community Use

Boone Center, Inc. (BCI)—a nonprofit that improves the lives of adults with disabilities through employment opportunities—is offering the use of its large conference room to community groups and businesses. The space, located at 200 Trade Center Dr. W. in St. Peters, is available weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at no cost.

“This space makes a great neutral meeting site for businesses, nonprofits, church or school groups, you name it,” said BCI CEO Troy Compardo. “Our only ‘ask’ in return is that we get 20 minutes to introduce everyone to our mission and take them on a quick tour of our production floor. Many people don’t know about the wonderful things happening at BCI, and we want to change that.”

The 783-square-foot conference room comfortably seats 12 at a large central table with executive chairs but can hold up to 20 total guests with extra room for breakout groups and activities. As a Zoom Room, the space features integrated speakers, microphones and a camera that allows remote participation, screen sharing, and video conferencing. The room also features Chromecast, which allows the streaming of apps from your phone, tablet or laptop to the television.

BCI will provide complimentary coffee, water, and canned soft drinks for all meeting guests. Groups are welcome to bring in food or arrange for catering or food delivery on their own. BCI will also provide on-site support for the connection of all technology.

“Most people who tour BCI for the first time are blown away by our mission and the men and women with disabilities who work here,” added Compardo. “Honestly, it’s too good not to share! That’s why we want to get back to having people through our doors. And we can guarantee that each guest will learn something new and leave inspired.”
