BCI Hosting Virtual 'Ladies Night In'

(St. Peters, Mo., Nov. 25, 2020) Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) will hold Power of the Purse on Thurs., Dec. 10 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The virtual ‘Ladies Night In’ includes live celebrity makeup artist tips, holiday DIY cocktails, a silent designer purse auction, and an intimate conversation with Build-A-Bear founder Maxine Clark. All proceeds will benefit BCI’s programs and services that enrich the lives of adults with disabilities.

Maxine Clark is one of the true innovators in the retail industry. In 1997, she founded Build-A-Bear Workshop®, a teddy-bear themed retail-entertainment experience. Today there are more than 400 stores worldwide with cumulative sales topping $5 billion. In 2013, Maxine stepped down from Build-A-Bear to apply her entrepreneurial skills to her passion for improving K-12 public education and encouraging and investing in women and minority entrepreneurs.

Two Power of the Purse ticket options are available: the $20 Clutch ticket includes virtual attendance, the ability to bid on select designer purses, and a raffle entry to win a specially selected designer bag.
