BCI to Host Derby in the Park

Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) will host its first Derby in the Park event on Saturday, May 1 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 370 Lakeside Park located at 1000 Lakeside Park Dr. in St. Peters, Mo. All proceeds will benefit BCI’s mission to support and inspire people with disabilities through a continuum of innovative employment opportunities.

With a Kentucky Derby theme, the event will feature a live stream of the race, an open bar by Wandering Sidecar Bar, heavy appetizers by Hollyberry Catering, live music by Sourbelly Fix, caricature drawings by Caricature STL, a silent auction, best-dressed contests, wine and whiskey pulls, and more.

“After all the challenges over the past year, we are thrilled to offer a safe, fun event for people to gather, celebrate, and support our mission to offer employment opportunities for adults with disabilities,” said BCI CEO Troy Compardo. “Every dollar raised will be put directly back into our program support.”

Registration is $75 per person or $125 per couple. A virtual registration is also available for $20 and includes a live stream of the speakers and music as well as a chance to win a BCI gift bag.

Registrations are limited and on sale now at

In addition to attendees, BCI also seeks auction donors and corporate sponsors, with sponsorships ranging from $500 to $20,000. For more information, contact Monique Bynum at or 636-875-5267.
