BCI Open Houses are April 2 & 18: Family, Friends, Community Welcome
Boone Center Inc. (BCI) will host Open Houses at its two facilities on Monday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 18.
The April 2 event will be at its main location in St. Peters from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (address is 200 Trade Center Drive, 63376). The April 18 event will be at its Lincoln County location in Moscow Mills from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (address is 245 College Campus Drive, 63362).
Guests at both events will enjoy a video introduction, production floor tour, refreshments, and giveaways.
“These open houses are a great way for BCI employees to show their family and friends where they work,” said BCI CEO Tony Spielberg, “but they’re also an excellent opportunity for anyone to see BCI’s social and business missions in action. If you have ever wondered what BCI is about, or if you know us but want to see how we’ve grown, this is an excellent opportunity.”
BCI was founded in 1959 and provides employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. Nearly 400 men and women are employed through BCI either at the company’s two contract packaging facilities or through community employment programs. A 501(c)3 nonprofit, BCI is a national advocate for employment and vocational training for adults with disabilities. BCI’s Employment Continuum focuses on full employment that provides ongoing support to gain access to employment of their choice and ability.
At the Open Houses, guests may also learn about BCI’s new vocational training center for adults with disabilities. The Skills Center is scheduled to open late summer 2018.
No advance registration is needed for either Open House. For more information, call Dee Gerstenkorn at 636-875-5245.
