Streff Hired as Executive Director of BCI's New Skills Center

Todd Streff has been named Executive Director of the Skills Center, BCI's first-of-its-kind vocational training center for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Streff has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in behavior analysis and therapy. Most recently he was the Founder and Executive Director of Streff Behavior Consulting, which provided program design, training, and consultation to school districts, private facilities, and parents to establish and implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs. Earlier in his career, he also served as the Director of Special Education for the St. Louis County Special School District for five years.

“Todd brings over 20 years of experience working in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Tony Spielberg, BCI’s CEO. “His vision for the Skills Center aligns perfectly with ours—to ensure that people with disabilities have the chance to experience fulfillment through work by learning the necessary skills to enter and thrive in the workforce with businesses who are fully prepared to welcome them.”

Streff’s passion has always been to help people with disabilities achieve their full potential, in whatever phase of life they are in. He is excited to launch this new endeavor with BCI and has high expectations for the Skills Center and the training it will provide.

“Too often, others impose limits on people with disabilities,” Streff said. “The Skills Center will work to remove unnecessary limitations and labels and focus on developing the individual’s full potential. When you focus on what is possible, the opportunities are endless.”

The Skills Center expects to start its first students in January.

“We have been perfecting our vision for the Skills Center as part of our ‘inclusion revolution’ for well over a year, said Spielberg. “Now, to have someone with Todd’s experience at the helm, it’s going to be incredible to see the program grow its resources and relationships.”
